TKN Guide
What is TKN?
Mint, swap, send, and claim through fair, unchangeable defaults.
One Tap Token App
TKN is a unified token ecosystem. One tap and you can mint a fair, unchangeable token on the blockchain. The TKN app streamlines choices so creating a new ERC-20 token with a fixed supply, no admin controls, and a Uniswap liquidity pool for instant trading is as easy as a tap on your phone.
CLAIM: Seeds of Blockchain UBI
The latest feature, Claim, takes these fair launch tokens and distributes them to World ID verified humans. World ID lets people prove that they are really people and not actually bots. As bots become more intelligent and human-like, World ID and “Proof of Humanity” systems like it will become more necessary.
The TKN app uses World ID to guarantee that real people are using the app and getting fair shares of every claim.
One centralized version of UBI is not enough. But an ecosystem of apps creating diverse token communities and experimenting with varying methods of distribution, value creation and retention, may be what the world needs to bring UBI to the next level.
Future Visions
TKN is intended to be a human usability layer on top of decentralized protocols like Uniswap, Proof of Humanity systems like World ID, and Ethereum Layer 2s like World Chain. Protocols provide architecture for new worlds and TKN provides the gateway.
The vision for TKN is to become the standard token app in a variety of forms (mini app, web app, standard mobile app, etc.) on a variety of chains (starting with World and expanding to other Ethereum Layer 2s).
Eventually, an open source template can be created where anyone with an agent can use the TKN template to spin up their own token app, easily switching out parameters and customizing the UI to fit their own communities. These communities will become interoperable with bridges created between different versions of the app until we have a rich ecosystem of tokens and UBI happens as an organic consequence.
Who made TKN?
Ki Chong Tran is the founder of TKN. He has previously worked as Communications Lead for the Privacy and Scaling Exploration (PSE) team at the Ethereum Foundation. He’s also the author of Ethereum Papers: Why the Blockchain Matters and a participant in the 2014 Ethereum crowdsale. Ki Chong has been an advocate of UBI since he wrote the Yang Gang Wisdom newsletter in support of Andrew Yang’s 2020 U.S. Presidential Campaign, which ran on the central campaign promise of UBI.
